Welcome to the website of the Baltic Thunder!

In times of the global warming it is important to protect the natural energy resources and the energy which can be taken from the nature in the most different kinds to move efficiently and intelligently. Output of CO2 is lowered by this efficient use and regenerative energy is brought in the foreground of the economy.

Due to this background, students and professors of the University of Applied Sciences Kiel and the Christian-Albrechts-University of Kiel are facing the challenge to develop a vehicle which can be driven exclusively by wind energy.

Other teams coming from countries of whole Europe see this challenge and line up within the scope of a competition in Den Helder (Netherlands) with their likewise energy-efficiently laid out vehicles.

With this Internet site we introduce the project, the team around the Baltic Thunder and interesting information all around the progress of the project.

We wish you a lot of fun on the following pages and would be glad if we can help you with information or answer of open questions.
